Snow Fort Fun
Today Mrs. Kitson read the book, What Happens Next, by Susan Hughes. We talked about how everyone sees things differently. We talked about how we are the same and different. We used the ipads today. We practiced our letter sounds and made words on the ipad. We talked about the letter F. We made up a funny story with the letter F. We can make up stories at home. We played the power of 10 game and played with our fine motor bags. We went outside and built a fort. We had a fun day in Kindergarten.

Being kind to our Bird Friends
Today The Gingerbread Man sent us an email. He told us he had bird friends. He asked us to help him make a present for his friends. We made bird feeders and put them in the trees. We talked about being a community. We watched a storybook called, Our Class is our Family. We talked about how we can help our class community. We practiced our letter sounds and talked about the letter G. It makes two sounds. We talked about patterns and made patterns with our math boxes. We talked about rhyming and matched rhyming words. We had fun playing a running game in the gym. It was a fun sunny day in Kindergarten.

The Gingerbread House
Today The Gingerbread Man made us a life size Gingerbread House. He sent us an email. He told us he was learning about celebrations around the world. He sent us a YouTube video that showed us celebrations from around the world. We talked about our own celebrations. We talked about patterns today. We decorated a candy decoration to put on our house. We made our own patterns on our decorations. We went on a pattern hunt with Mrs. D, We talked about rhyming and played a rhyming game. We built tall towers and matched numerals with our towers. We went for a walk in the woods and had so much snow fun. We had a fun day in kindergarten!

Where did The Gingerbread Man Go?
Today, The Gingerbread Man sent as another email. He said there was someone in the school that knew where he went. We made posters of The Gingerbread Man to put up in the school. We made a recipe using our math boxes. We used our number sense to make our recipe. We wrote in our lifebooks. We talked about the letter B. We practiced our letter sounds when we sand , The Better ABC song. Mrs. Kitson told us a very funny story with the letter B. We can make up our own story using only words that start with B. We had fun in the gym. We ran through an obstacle course. We did Yoga with our special friend Jasmyn. We sent love out into the world. Ask me how we send love out into the world. We worked really hard. We had fun playing outside. It was a fun day in Kindergarten.

Learning about Different Cultures
Today The Gingerbread Man sent us an email. He said he was learning about Diwali. He sent us a youtube link so we could learn about Diwali also. He sent us the book, The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School. We talked about the letter R and looked for the letter R in the email. There were lots of R's. We made our own rangoli. We worked in our number books, and played with our math tubs. We told stories in our lifebooks. Mrs. Kitson read us the book, The Three Questions. Ask me what the answers to these questions are:
Who is the most important one?
What is the right thing to do?
When is the right time?
We went on a walk looking at signs in the school and outside the school. Ask me what I saw.

We Will Remember
Today Mrs. Kitson read us the book, A Poppy is to Remember. We watched a power point presentation about Remembrance Day. Ask me what Remembrance Day is. Mrs. Kitson read us the book, Peace is an Offering. We talked about being kind and respectful. We watched a video called, What is Peace.
We practiced printing numbers today. We always start printing from the top. We played the power of 10 game.
