Today The Gingerbread Man sent us a few Christmas books. He sent us the book, The Polar Express. We went on The Polar Express in our classroom. We had a ticket to get onboard. We were served hot chocolate and nougat, just like in the story. There was a big surprise. One of our friends found the magic silver bell in her hood. It was a magical ride on The Polar Express.
Today we had our Christmas craft party. We made a countdown Christmas chain, and a candy Christmas tree. We decorated cookies and made a paper Christmas tree. Mrs. Grau taped our Christmas card presentation. We had so much fun dancing to Christmas music. We especially liked the Grinch workout. We had a sweet day in Kindergarten.
Today we practiced rhyming, and listening for beginning and ending sounds. We practice these skills everyday. We talked about the letter H. One of our friends has the secret sh in their name. We made patterns on hats and watched them magically appear on our hats. We were letter detectives and matched letters hidden in the classroom. We had fun playing a rhyming game. We had lots of fun playing at wondertime. We had a fun day in KIndergarten.
Today we talked about how different people celebrate different holidays. We learned that not everyone celebrates Christmas. Mrs.Kitson taught us about Hanukkah. We made special potato latkes. Some of us ate them with applesauce. We played the dreidel game. We played lots of dice games too. We can make latkes at home. We brought home the recipe. Mrs. Kitson did not put onions in our latkes. They were yummy! We had a fun day in Kindergarten.
We had a special music day. Mrs. Grau had a zoom call with The National Ballet of Canada. We did lots of dance moves. It was so much fun. In the morning we played Ditty Dotter it was a fun memory game. We worked on writing our numbers and worked cooperatively to solve big floor puzzles. We talked about the letter L. Many of our friends have L's in their names. We had fun setting up our Christmas house. It was a dancing kind of day in Kindergarten.
Today The Gingerbread man sent us three of his favourite bird books. Mrs.Kitson read the book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!. It was very funny! We practiced printing numbers today. We remembered to start from the top. We talked about the letter R. Three of our friends have r's in their names. They even have secret r's.(ar, and er). We practiced making patterns and played fishing for letters. We made bird feeders. In the afternoon we hung them up in the forest. We had lots of fun playing in the forest. It was a fun day in kindergarten.
