We Will Miss You
Today we had so much fun! There were so many fun activities. We painted rocks, played with big balloons, made bracelets, and played lots and lots of fun games. At the end of the day we saw lots of food trucks! It was a fun outdoor day in Kindergarten!!
It was a great year! Have a great summer and remember to come back and visit!!!

Love is in the Air
Today we had lots of fun. There were 4 weddings in Kindergarten. We talked about what we needed to do for a wedding. There were lots of people we needed. We needed a bridesmaid and a ring bearer and of course flower girls. We planned the weddings. We even had special wedding cupcakes. In the afternoon we performed for our parents in The Gathering Space. We received our kindergarten certificates. We had a great last day in our KIndergarten classroom.

The Giving Tree
Today Mrs. Kitson read us The Giving Tree, A Retelling of a Traditional Metis story, written and illustrated by Leah Dorian. It was a story about how the Metis people would leave food and supplies in the hollow of a tree. They would share their supplies with their community. In the morning we went for a walk in the woods. We found a hollow in a tree. Ask me what hollow means. In the hollow we found a bag with flour, salt, baking powder, butter and a book. The book was The Bannock Bread Boy. Mrs. Kitson read us the book and we found out that the ingredients made a special bread called bannock. We cooked the bannock. It was yummy. It was a suprise of a day in Kindergarten.

Friends Forever
Today we played inside all day. We did have fun running and dancing in the gym. We are taking our blankets home today. We are so proud of all the hard work we did. We finished designing our houses. We shared our blueprints with our friends. We have lots of great ideas. Mrs. Kitson read us the book, What to do with and Idea? by, Kobi Yamada. Ask me about the book. We played Bump It. We are getting very good at seeing a group of objects and knowing how many objects there are without counting. We had a fun indoor day in Kindergarten.

Our Fairy House
Today we talked about letters that start in the corners. We are practicing our printing. We always remember to start our letters at the top. In the morning we talked about what kind of special rooms we would have in our house if we could build our own house. Mrs. Kitson read us the book, if I built a House, by, Chris Van Dusen. Ask me about his crazy house. We are starting to design our own rooms on a big piece of paper we are using our skills to write words on our rooms. Mrs. Kitson showed us a new stuffy friend, named Lovey Dovey. We are learning about our feelings and our personalities. In the afternoon we played in our new fairy house. It was a fairy good time!

It was a Perfect Day to Learn Outside
Today we spent most of the day outside. We planted more seeds in our garden. We even worked on our printing books outside. It was a lovely day in kindergarten.
